Privacy Policy
Introduction
Tick Tech Talks UG (haftungsbeschränkt) (“we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data when you use our website, buy tickets, register as an attendee, or sign up for the newsletter.
Data Collection and Use
- No Data Collection
We do not collect or process any personal data directly on our website. We do not use cookies, and we do not display any advertisements. - Tickets and registration
HeyAI 2027 is part of GopherCon Europe + HeyAI 2027 (14-17 June 2027, Umweltforum Berlin). There is no separate HeyAI ticket. Ticket sales, attendee registration, ticket delivery and badge pickup run on tickets.gophercon.eu, a ticketing service that we wrote and run. The full description is in the GopherCon Europe privacy policy: gophercon.eu/privacy. In short:
You pay on a Stripe payment link. Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (Dublin, Ireland) processes the payment and issues the invoice on our behalf. Stripe is the only party that sees card data. Our server stores the order (buyer name, email address, billing address, invoice details, ticket type and count) and emails the buyer the invoice PDF and one registration link per ticket. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Invoice and order data is kept for 10 years (§ 147 AO, § 257 HGB).
Each attendee registers with name, company or employer, email address and the country where they work. These four details are stored with the ticket; name and company are printed on the badge. The attendee receives a ticket PDF with a QR code by email, with the buyer in CC when buyer and attendee differ. At the venue our staff scan the QR code and record the badge pickup with a timestamp and the staff member's name. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for order, registration, ticket and badge; Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for the attendance records. Attendee data is deleted at the latest 12 months after the event.
The form also asks for company size, job title, years of Go experience, years of AI experience, tech stack and the days you plan to attend. These answers are stored without any link to you or your ticket and are used only for anonymous statistics and headcount (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). An optional “special requests” field (dietary needs, accessibility) is used only for catering and accessibility planning, based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) and, for health data, Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR). An optional checkbox subscribes you to the GopherCon Europe newsletter on Substack; we store only the yes/no flag (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw either consent at any time by email to team+privacy@heyai.dev.
Processors for the ticketing service: Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (Dublin, Ireland) for payment and invoicing; Neon, LLC, a Databricks, Inc. company (San Francisco, USA), which hosts our Postgres database in the AWS region eu-central-1 (Frankfurt, Germany) and is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, with the EU Standard Contractual Clauses in addition; Plus Five Five, Inc. (Resend, San Francisco, USA), which sends the invoice, registration and ticket emails from tickets@gophercon.eu under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses in its data processing addendum; Hetzner Online GmbH (Gunzenhausen, Germany), which hosts the server in Nuremberg, Germany. The ticketing service has no analytics and sets no cookies for buyers or attendees. The only cookie is a sign-in cookie for our door team at the venue.
